It's sort of like certain theological bents..one leg is dependent on another leg...so first one has to totally reject science's statements and pictures..then for the Christian one has to totally interpret the OT passages regarding 'circle' as 'non-sphere' despite the fact that there was no Hebrew word for sphere.
And since most are not ancient Hebrew scholars and none are scientists it boils down to who you believe...where you place your faith.

Two questions.
1. Why do they believe there is a conspiracy? What is the motive for such an elaborate conspiracy?
2. Is it possible that they actually know it's not flat and the whole thing is a big joke? OR, that some people know it's a big joke but others then came and believed it?
The whole thing seems a bit hard to swallow!
