How will we be known in Heaven?

How will we be known in Heaven? Will we recognize our loved ones there?

I was able to recognize CatchyUsername in the brief dream vision I had of her a while back even though I didn't see her face clearly. She was being herself.

An interesting read, Nikos. I agree with the writer.

Btw, I enjoy reading the P.E. archives. My mom subscribed to it for many years.

“And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.” Luke‬ *16:23-25‬ *KJV‬‬

The rich man recognized Abraham and Lazarus, so that answers the question. We will recognized one another. Also, we’ll have remembrances of things we did on earth.
When your praise match your prayers, the answer will come.

A lot of good articles and food for thought.

He probably recognized Abraham because of the position he had as patriarch for those who were in paradise, he wouldn't know what Abraham looked like while he was alive. He must have recognized Lazarus more individually. Recall that this was in Hades and paradise was merely a compartment in Hades where the OT saints were kept in custody until the gospel was preached to them and they were released into heaven. So heaven will be much better.

I really don't get it when people ask this question. Why wouldn't we? We're just changing location. And we gonna turn into unrecognizable blobs or something?

My understanding, from reading various accounts, is that we will look to be around 33 years of age or so - basically we will look as we would be, or were, "in the prime of our life".
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
    (Ephesians 4:17-18)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...
    (Psalm 1)

Yeah, that is what she looked like. Fully an adult but not aging.
