    Immigrants

What do we do with this scripture in light of immigration? God is saying foreigners should be treated like we would want to be treated.

Do not oppress a foreigner; you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners, because you were foreigners in Egypt.
    – Exodus 23:9

I rightly divide the word that also says to obey the law of the land...

America has an immigration policy that screens for terrorism and criminals...If we look carefully at the laws of Israel those laws covered immigrants as well...immigrants are welcome if they are willing to go through the process and verify their motive is not to kill us...

Refugees that are unscreened are another issue...and President Trump has stated he supports a 'safe place' for refugees in their land...not sure how that would happen but the fact is either we have a legal immigration system, or we don't..it is wrong to screen some and then allow others to just walk in or fly in without papers or vetting..

This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
    (Ephesians 4:17-18)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...
    (Psalm 1)

That's a good one. According to that we better go by the laws of the Word over the laws of the land. Thanks!

Our personal response to the needy is our responsibility as Kingdom people and should be Spirit led...supporting efforts to help the poor and outcast in our nation is as well...the widow and orphan INDEED as scripture puts it....or the cup of water...

But we also find the requirement for personal responsibility...if a person will not work neither should he eat....and many others regarding treatment of our neighbor and his goods...

I liken the current immigration and open borders issue in America and the push for it based on a concept of mercy and kindness as the same as Satan coming to Jesus on the mountain of temptation and skewing the TRUTH by quoting scripture out of the context of the whole Bible and Jesus WISDOM and knowing of His Father prevented Him from being manipulated into using scripture to promote a lie...there are so many in the US who really have such a superficial or even a faux knowing of God and His word that they are easily tricked by this method of Satan...

That was written specifically to Israel under the law and if you continue reading it also says foreigners must abide by the laws of Israel.

So, if we are going to go by this... those that cross our border illegally are law breakers, those that steal identities are law breakers, those that come here with their own laws they consider higher then our laws are law breakers... all of these folks need to be given the left foot of fellowship.

We can feed them lunch on the bus to the boarder and maybe we can give them some water and a sack lunch to start them off in the new land we are dropping them off in.

We need to focus on vetting law abiding people to see if they are a good fit for our society.

Many in the "church" are no longer serving the Lord, they are serving a political ideology called liberalism, aka social gospel which is not of God and will eventually lead to following / worshiping the anti-christ once his sorry backside is revealed.

One thing I have never understood about our immigration problem. If there are so many jobs for illegals, why didn't we just increase the quota of legal immigrants we'll allow in? if there are jobs for an additional 100,000, then increase the quota by 100,000. If we had done that and enforced the laws, there would be no problem.
