Question Question about the Holy Spirit

    Hello everyone!!!!
It's good to be back after a looooooooong absence hehe
I have a question and I just want to Thank You in advance for your input💕

Where is it at in the bible that says to ask the Holy Spirit to ask God a question for you because I have never heard of this or seen it in the bible?

According to 3 in one, or Trinity doctrine, Holy Spirit is God.

Soooo, asking Holy Spirit to ask God a question is redundant.

Fuego, please correct me if I'm wrong on this.

And welcome to the forums, ThirstyFormore

Luke 11:13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!"

If we can ask the Father directly before receiving the Holy Spirit then we should be able to do the same after receiving the Holy Spirit.

I've heard people pray calling on the Holy Spirit or calling on Jesus. Jesus taught us to pray "Our Father". I can understand the redundancy or no need for an intercessor, but as ThirstyFormore said, at least they are praying.

He told us to pray to the Father in his (Jesus') name and to commune with the Holy Spirit.

This person needs to be taught their identity-who they are in Christ. Jesus said to ask the Father, and He also said that whatever we ask Him.............

We have direct access to the Father.

In my fellowship with the Holy Spirit, I will ask the Holy Spirit questions directly. But if I want to ask the Father something I ask the Father. Or Jesus, I ask Jesus. I don't have to ask the Holy Spirit to ask for me.

Generally speaking, I almost always ask the Holy Spirit any question I have about anything. He's my helper, so He's who I ask.

    Well, too, there's this verse:

    1 John 2:27(ESV)

27 But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.

Through the Holy Spirit, we have access to God as our Teacher. He, through the Holy Spirit, instructs us about "everything."

One could say that the Holy Spirit reveals and represents Jesus or the Father. But in authority terms we are told to use the name of Jesus. "I command you to leave devil, in the name of God (or the Holy Spirit)" just isn't right.
