Dry Spells
This may be a question that turns into a discussion thread.
What do you do to get yourself out of a dry spell? By dry spell - this could be when Scripture is just words on a page with no power. Or you're worshipping but it's not bringing "the Presence." Or things are just generally dull.
I'd like to hear from you - share how you got out of the dry spell and back into the flooding waters coming out of the throne.

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
It's always a return to your first love.
We can elevate doctrines, experiences above Him and sometimes we just have to hold on, "blessed are those who haven't seen" , in the absence of emotions or other external validations can we only believe? God touches but we should not become dependent on that.

I change the routine. First, I look for anything in my schedule that might indicate a course change. If ministry has been intense, just a simple break and "come away, my beloved" with the Lord. You can't keep pouring out without infillings.

I have a lot of things I do... but one that's been the most helpful is getting with one of my pastors.
Another thing is to look for the last thing the Lord spoke to me, or regarding something I heard... did I do something with that, or just set it on a shelf?

After being soaked for years in that Brownsville Revival, everything seems dry.
