I've got a couple of suggestions.

    1) John MacArthur has decided that he has been abandoned by God

    2) John MacArthur has decided that everyone except John MacArthur has been abandoned by God

    3) John MacArthur has decided that both 1) and 2) are equally true at all times and he will now spend three years studying how to explain this succinctly so that at least Calvinists will think that they have understood it

As I quoted the other day "The most despised, the most rejected, and the most misunderstood doctrine in the Bible is election".

Is John MacArthur a Calvinist ? I suppose that he is. I'm not sure what he's talking about in the video since I didn't bother to click on it. To me John MacArthur is a cessationist. Or if he isn't technically that then he's at least an anti-Charismatic. A very zealous one.

God himself Father, Son, Holy Spirit is far more important than election.
It's more important to know God than non essential Calvinist doctrine on election

To me election means that God chose Jesus, discarded the rest of us and then we need Jesus or else God is never going to see us as chosen.

But does that make him wrong on ALL subjects?

Yes it is important to know God.

And we know that God sent Jesus as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.

And we need to know how that actually works out in life, because I was at a "church" today where they told their faithful that they were born again and became children of God when they were baptised as a baby.

Equally evil is telling people that if they repeat a particular form prayer they will be saved.
