    Thanksgiving a Pagan Holiday???

Someone said on another thread that they don't celebrate a holiday like Thanksgiving because it's pagan

I wont mention any names though...

I've heard A LOT of things preached against, but Thanksgiving is a new one

    You mean this post?

    Farm Truck

I'm not big on celebrating pagan holidays... so I'm not running out buying a bunch of stuff for people myself.

So, the so-called black friday is not a problem for me... I just stay out of the city as to not get run over by city slickers

    oh good grief..

    what insanity is that?

Although, I remember one year, our granddaughter's dad was with us.. and he decided to give some history .. whereupon he told her that the whole reason for Thanksgiving was so that the pilgrims could give contaminated blankets to kill the indians.

    I'm not joking.

We, of course, explained that he had pudding for brains.

The quote was about Christmas in relation to black Friday shopping ...

Christmas is a pagan holiday that is not biblical at all.

Study up on the origins of Christmas and if you need help with the history lesson just let me know cause I have some notes on it when I did some research on my own about this.

So, get yer story straight ... it's Christmas that originated from pagan belief and practices.

You did not specify Christmas and the thread was about Thanksgiving and Black Friday... So get your own story straight.

Everyone knows black friday shopping is something that happens AFTER Thanksgiving and it is in relationship to Christmas...

Maybe you are misinformed about this, but the rest of the country is not.
