Is John McAuthor Presbyterian or Calvin Baptist?

I know he's strong on predestination. My brother has listened to hundreds of his sermons and said he definitely teaches 2 seed doctrine (serpent seed)

But never knew curious the differences in primitive, pilgrim Baptist, American Baptist, freewill, northern, southern.
American Baptist is very, very liberal.

Correct. Many of them are gay affirming.

Liberal like Episcopalian? I find that hard to believe

Yes, quite interchangeable. In our smalltown locale I'm seen them trade pastors. Calvinists at the core.

Norman Vincent Peale of 'The Power of Positive Thinking' fame was Dutch Reformed. I think Robert Schuller was too since he followed Peale and knew him.

That's true. Schuller's church was reformed. I use to go to Crystal Cathedral's massive Christmas productions. Pat & Debbie Boone would make a guest appearance.

I think Pat & Debbie belonged to a spirit filled or charismatic type church. May have been Jack ... his name escapes me.. big foresquare church in L.A area

Schuller (or his son?) sold CC to the Catholics.

Yeah, Jack Hayford. They are Charismatic. Shirley has gone on to be with the Lord.

Schuller got to hanging around with the likes of Paul Yonggi Cho and Oral Roberts before he died though. So who knows what influence they had on him.

I know a lot of people didn't like Schuller personally, or questioned his doctrine, etc, but I loved reading his books. Very uplifting and faith stirring.
