Spurgeon has been referred to at the "Prince of Preachers". (wiki) That situation is repeating itself today, just over 100 years later.

True humility will be open and really analyse the truth but have set your mind like concrete and become unteachable.
Yes I could be wrong, but I don't think I am. As I said, Spurgeon opposed the liberal and pragmatic theological tendencies in the Church of his day and if he was still alive, besides being nearly 200, he would be fighting the same thing today. Mr Flowers may be a "credentialed scholar", but his remarks on how reformed theologians supposedly understand John 6:44 demonstrate that his understanding of reformed theology is flawed. Therefore, contrary to your statement he does not "understand exactly what RD teaches" (which you would have realised when you read my quote from Spurgeon). In Spurgeon's day the church was drifting (sliding actually) away from Biblical/ Pauline/ Augustinian/ Reformed theology into Arminian and then liberal/ pragmatic theology on its way to apostasy. It had done it before and it's doing it once again.

It was not an Emotional Experience. It was when God washed away my sins and set me free.

Nice of you to acknowledge God there TT, but my understanding is Biblical.

You do realise Mr Flowers the learned Professor and "Defender of the Faith" is OSAS don't you? Fortunately you are humble, open and willing to analyse the truth as your mind is not like concrete, you are very teachable. It will be a delight to see you accept as Biblical the 5th point of Calvinism, and have you refer to is as the Security of the Believer rather than the derogatory OSAS.

ARTICLE NINE: THE SECURITY OF THE BELIEVER

We affirm that when a person responds in faith to the Gospel, God promises to complete the process of salvation in the believer into eternity.
