To what extent can we be "Spirit Led"?
I've often heard the term "the leading of the Spirit" and another is people saying they're "Spirit led".
Saw a FB post today from my old church. They'd got all ready to hold "gatherings" again this Sunday but they have "to adjust to new restrictions placed recently on public gatherings". So this Sunday is not on but starting the next one they "will host smaller bespoke gatherings" (wow! bespoke gatherings! Never had them in my day, we just went to church. Sorry </sarcasm>).
The site continues by saying "we are endeavouring to make the most of this opportunity in what God is speaking to us as leaders about with the direction and health of our church".
So my immediate question was, "If God is speaking to you 'leaders about with the direction and health of our church' how come you didn't hear anything about when all the church could get together again?"
A lot of effort has gone into the building over the break, repainting (from all black to all white); new carpet (also white???); and a lot of admin work to let people ask to come to services and keep the numbers valid. And now there's an extra month to do it in.
So I'm just wondering about what level of leading we should expect to get from the Holy Spirit.
bespoke: adjective, British: made for a particular customer or user

I guess you've left that church since it's your "old" church. I think you should just let them be. You're not a part anymore, so why should you criticize? What's the point?

It's really just part of something bigger. May bring that up later. Not just yet though.
You'll notice that my question "what level of leading we should expect to get from the Holy Spirit" hasn't been addressed at all. That may be significant.
