Here are some comments taken from two recent threads. The things being talked about are different but the end results are the same.

Thread 1 Thread 2
  • Absolutely horrendous.
  • Horrible!!
  • that cop is a disgrace
  • They behave like machines.
  • This was too much. Too much!
  • Police brutality
  • What happened to that man was completely inexcusable.
  • this was out right murder
  • Murdering a possible totally innocent man for a crime that he may not have even been aware of is a horrendous crime
  • They need to make an example out of this whole gaggle of brutes
  • It was murder plain and simple
  • I had a knee jerk reaction to the op. I didn't think of the other side of the issue, and I apologize. I would never want to add to the pain of another in that way
  • We have to differentiate ....
  • mercy and compassion towards the hurting is vital
  • exposing the evils ... but also ...
  • There is therefore now no condemnation
  • Condemning them does not lead to repentance
  • You are asking for permission to be a condemner .... Paul was a murderer.
  • You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else
  • the biblical principle is to focus on the remedy
  • I think even the hardest of hearts knows inside the seriousness of this act.
This result was intended.
This result was accidental.

It is true that not everyone posted in both threads, and there are multiple quotes from some people, but what struck me was the gap in the tone of the quotes even though the end results were the same and to add to it, one case was intentionally and the other wasn't.

Anyone have any idea why this happens?

P.S. Yes, in the third lines of the table the comments are in the wrong columns. That was intentional.
