Lightbulb Healing - Is it wrong to go to a doctor?

What I do not understand is that... how does one get "diagnosed" with any disease in the first place?
I've seen numerous Christians over the years hear the doctor say "you have the whatever disease" and they choose to believe that, starts telling everyone that, start acting like they have it... and die.

I mean, God's Word expressly tells us that Jesus took our sickness and disease upon Himself which is a major, major promise!

How does one decide to not believe what God said and promised, and decide to go to the doctor for a checkup? That's the first mistake and demonstrates that a person doing this does not believe what God said about healing and instead wants to go be tested to see if they have anything... and of course they usually find something.

In that scenario, you could be just fine... but once you start seeking disease, it come on you because you opened the door to it. Why not rebel against hell and decide to be well?

I mean, why not believe what God said and eat good and exercise and put one's self in the hands of the Holy Spirit... Who, if allowed to LIVE in us will quicken, make alive, empower our bodies (His Body, if we have given it to Him) with His presence so we never get sick or come down with these diseases.

I know, I know... many Christians believe God uses doctors (maybe God can't handle disease?)

If God is leading people to use the arm of the flesh and the wisdom of mankind to keep well and He supposedly uses doctors... He sure is doing a very poor job of working thru doctors cause I keep hearing about Christians that go to doctors instead of believing God's promise of healing that Jesus has already paid for... die early!

Like, whassup with God supposedly telling folks to to the doctor and they die early from whatever disease they had???

Something is not right with that.

I know, it's probably just me... but I'll stick with the Holy Ghost since He is very well able to keep one from getting sick... if He cannot, there be some lies in the Bible. Either that, or God failed to control what went in to His Book and some folks put some lies up in there.

Both are true, the person is sick and there is also healing in the atonement. The New Testament refers to Christians as being sick, it does not insist that they are healed rather than sick, until they are actually healed.

You sound like a cross between a very early Pentecostal and a crazy Word-of-Faith preacher.

Agree...God's provisions have to manifest in the natural realm..just like salvation..Jesus paid the price and made provision for ALL to be saved. The manifestation of that provision requires belief and faith and surrender; otherwise defined as the REST of faith..When a body is attacked with a sickness or disease those re REAL even though healing has been provided through the atonement one must APPROPRIATE that healing provision through the rest of faith...

I believe God is more than able to keep us well..but His word also gives us clear instructions on what to do when we get sick so apparently He knew we would..

Yes, both are true. We get sick, yet at the same time the positional truth is that we are healed by the stripes of Jesus. The fact we have been declared as healed positionally does not change the fact that we get sick. Sick is the 'fact' while 'healed' is the truth. We use the truth to change the facts.

I don't... I refuse to allow it just like I refuse to go do sin.

God taught me that He created me in His image, in His likeness and as such I decide whether I walk after the flesh (wisdom of man), or after the Spirit (wisdom of God).

If I sow to the flesh I reap corruption, if I sow to the Spirit I reap Zoe Life... which is well able to prevent sickness and disease from coming on my body which is the Lord's property. Sickness has no legal right to come upon me, and I have decided to actually believe that and act as though that is true based on God's promises which is primarily based on: Romans 8:11, 1 Peter 2:24, Matthew 8:17, Isaiah 53:4-5, Proverbs 4:20-23

God said in the Book of James that faith without acting like what you say you believe is actually true... is not faith at all, which is exactly why this does not work for a lot of Christians.

All this comes down to something very simple... do you actually believe what God said about this enough to act as though it is true?

Or, will you walk by sight and run go call the doctor so they can experiment on you using the ability of mankind which is very, very limited to the point they really have no clue what to do about most sickness and disease other than to continue experimenting and hope something helps.

If we're going to do that, we shouldn't object to people going to Vegas to gamble cause there's no difference between the two.

Bottom line... I do not get sick. I refuse to because I understand that God gave me authority over my life and it's my responsibility to decide whether to stand on what He has promised and allow His Word to grow in my life and produce the fruit of health which is God's will... or do I go with doctors and roll the dice.

I believe God can be trusted with my physical health which is why this works for me.

Maybe I'm special and I have some sort of special dispensation for being healthy
Jesus paid for me to have it... and I refuse anything less.

I get that and if your faith and walk are PERFECT that will work...

That is confusing being perfect in the literal sense, which we cannot obtain on this side of Heaven since we have not received the glorified Body Jesus paid for us to have yet... versus God's desire to treat us as though we are perfect. (see Romans 8:4).

If you are trying to tell me this doesn't work... you've come way, way too late cause it is and has been working for me. satan tried to convince me it doesn't work years ago... he lost.

Not sure why anyone would doubt God's promises on this, but to each his own.
