Holy water as a means to a miracle in the NT is to be regarded as a peripheral possibility under specific unction of the Holy Spirit.
Example of water being used is Jesus telling the blind man to wash in the pool of Siloam.
There must be a specific word for a specific situation.
In rare occasions God did use Holy water in churches that sanctify its use and a healing or supernatural event occurred. This happened in denominational churches that received the Baptism of the Spirit in the Charismatic Move.
Holy water in general usage is not Apostolic NT doctrine and should not be taught as doctrinal truth.
We know the 'laying on of hands' is a NT doctrine taught by Jesus and practised by the early apostolic church.
The 'anointing with oil' is another scriptural truth that can be taught as NT doctrine
Holy water does not carry the same authority as the above and should not be considered in normal Christian practise
After the apostles and their converts died ritual began to enter the church and one of those was the use of holy water.
