He talks about the Philippians when he mentions "Macedonia" in 2 Cor 8-9, that's the chapters about the collection of the gift for the poor in Jerusalem. We also have :

2 Cor 11:9 And when I was present with you, and in need, I was a burden to no one, for what I lacked the brethren who came from Macedonia supplied.

Phil 4:15 Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only. 16 For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities. 17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account. 18 Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. 19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. 20 Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

That's about giving into Paul's ministry but it doesn't resemble telethons much, they were covering necessities and there's no mention of Paul teaching them or even asking them to do this. Partnership ? Maybe, but again there's no clear teaching or request for this to be established over time. Coupled with 2 Cor 8-9 the principle of sowing and reaping is being discussed though.

Now that you mention it I remember it. I’m not sure of what point you’re trying to make if you could clarify.

The principle of giving "the whole".

TBN today is almost unrecognizable isn't it? They don't do telethons anymore just commercials. I watch Huckabee and Mike Roe on tbn and sometimes Drive thru History.

I agree! - Hubby and I watched it "religiously" back in the day, but the *Prosperity* message, telethons, and scandals put a bad taste in our mouths, and we stopped watching several years before Paul Sr. died.

Once in a "blue moon" (when I'm channel surfing), I'll stop and watch for a few minutes, if I notice an interesting guest being interviewed by Matt and Laurie, but gone are the "Glory Days" when the singing was anointed, the testimonies made you weep, and the emphasis was on SOUL WINNING.

Jan died 6-31-16 with 14 lawsuits against her.

Paul Crouches daughter (Brittany) who worked in a executive position (CFO) for TBN blew the whistle on the Crouches (Paul and Jan) extravagant living as they compromised non-profit governing laws of offerings and pledges received. Funds were funneled into Matt Crouches movie directing ambitions among other wastes of donor money.

Shortly afterward, Brittany was let go and the entire Paul Crouch Jr. family was removed from further affiliation with TBN, the founders (Paul and Jan) and shunned away by Matt Crouch.
Even after Jan's stroke, the Paul Crouch Jr. family were not allowed to know Jan's whereabouts by authority of Matt Crouch and TBN attorneys.

Before her death, Jan was able to get legal papers signed by an ailing Paul Sr. making Matt Crouch the heir of the TBN empire when the elder Paul was close to death and was not in his right frame of mind. This was a executed plan to remove Paul Jr. from having any further ties to TBN.

Upon Jan's eventual death, both Brittany and her dad, Paul Crouch Jr., found out that Jan died by news reports. They were left in the dark as this family received no communication from Matt or TBN lawyers.

Today, there is a rift of unforgiveness and turmoil between the Crouch siblings. Pray that there will be reconciliation and emotional healing between Matt and Paul Jr.
What happened to the entire Crouch family and the TBN television network was inspired by the devil as there is still a wall of bitterness intact today amongst the Crouch brothers.
If you put God First, you have Him at Last.

TBN has become a real tragedy among the Crouch family.

In general, I think much of the Charismatic world has pretty well pushed Jesus and the gospel aside.

    .
That's a pretty broad brush you're painting Charismatics with... Why would you say that?

I would think that they cover every gamut of Christianity that the church in general is struggling with at this time.
