I never much cottoned to Benny. He said Kathryn Kuhlman was his mentor and although she was quirky, I rather liked her. We were scheduled to go to one of her meetings, but my wife was pregnant and suffering from morning sickness, so we cancelled. I wish we could have gone. I have no desire to go to one of Benny's meetings.

Yet you see such satisfaction, such fulfillment with them. They are happier than many Christians I know in America who have everything. We had spent about $100,000 on the crusade there, and we needed to take up an offering to cover expenses. But I looked at those dear people and said, ‘God, I can’t do this.’ I couldn’t teach prosperity there like I had in the United States. And I’ve decided if you can’t teach the prosperity message everywhere, then something is wrong with it.”
Color me cynical.

Just because Benny Hinn gets rich from ministering doesn't necessarily mean that he's big on the prosperity message.

I went to one Benny Hinn meeting back in the day in Atlanta. It was like 4 hours of heaven.

Maybe Benny had a wake-up call as to how short life really is. Remember that health scare he had back in 2015?

When was that ? I went to one when Benny Hinn was here in Oslo in 1989, shortly after I got saved. Not sure what to make of it other than that I noticed people who were there to get healed while at the same time expressing negativity, almost hatred towards Christianity.

Nothing new here .. he has never been the most disciplined on any topic ...
One minute He believes in Prosperity next he isnt , One minute praying in tongues is praying in the spirit next minute its not, One minute he is WOF next minute he is not ...little wonder most in the WOF have kept a distant but respecful distance from him ..Wish he could articulate his positions a little better .
The only thing I find offensive about this is he seems to equating the proseprity message to its more controversial practices .. Its one thing to reject the Give a thousand/Give a seed Telethons its another thing entirely to say one is rejecting the prosperity gospel. To be fair to him though he didn't quite say he was rejecting the Prosperity Gospel just the telethons
