Anyway, one of my favorite rock groups back in the day was Ten Years After with Alvin Lee. I guess I was 16, 17, a rocker myself and not saved. So Alvin Lee (the guitar player) decided to do a solo album and he actually did it with Mylon Levefre. The cover is Alvin and Mylon walking down a tree covered road.

Anyway, it was just weird years later that I was saved and Mylon was saved and I had that album when I wasn't saved and he wasn't saved. lol.

That's Mylon on the left. Alvin died a couple of years ago.

Of all the connections Mylon had, I read where he had a short time with Atlanta Rhythm Section. If you want a good story, Read about the connection between John Elefante and joining up with Kansas prior to Kerry Livgren leaving. Jesus was smack in the middle of Kansas and hearing Elefante's story is pretty cool.

Pandora has a great mix for Mylon LeFevre. I’ve been listening in on that now and then.

Yeah, a few of them got saved including Livgren. I had a Second Chapter of Acts album that Livgren played on.

I read Livgren's book about his conversion years ago, but I don't recall the name of it.

Previously, he had been pretty deep into into "The Urantia Book"

    .
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
    (Ephesians 4:17-18)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...
    (Psalm 1)

this is an interesting read.. I've never heard of your guy!

The explosion in CCM was Love Story and all the groups who hung out at Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa.

Every Friday night there was a concert and "talk" by Chuck Smith or one of the guys.

The Urantia Book is bizarre. Early ‘80s it was the next new thing among that generation. I worked a day with one that studied it. I tried to share Christ with him but he already had those new revelations and worshipped that book. Never could crack througb his deception, almost a “Heaven’s Gate” mix of Gnosticism and mysticism with a dash of weirdness mixed in.

I used to go the Calvary Chapel CM Friday nights often. Great memories. I wished I coulda been there when the John Wimber thing happened and people got slain in the Spirit (from what I heard - maybe someone can supply the details). Ol' Chuck squelched that in no time flat :)
