I respectfully beg to differ .. No WOF Tteacher ever taught that without providing proper context ..if the bible says is then why shouldn't you be able to state it . If we got bitten in the hind parts by those who are hard of hearing then so be it . Being bitten in the hind parts come with the territory

HH is not a theologian or an apologist by training. He's a fundraiser and a businessman. He took the research that was compiled by the people Dr. Walter Martin hired and wrote a book with "over the top" controversial rhetoric and made a fortune off of it. Others tried to cash in on the anti-WoF craze to one extent or another, and there was no financial incentive to be objective and look for the truth.
At the same time, like VW pointed out earlier there were people in the WoF movement who were trying to cash in on the WoF explosion in the 80's and 90's who felt the need to come up with their own revelations and insights. I recognized that 35 years ago when I was attending Rhema. Whether you're pro-WoF or anti-WoF, we all have the flesh to deal with, and one of the main manifestations of carnal thinking is a loss of emphasis on truth.
Getting back to the stated objective for the thread, I'd like to add the myth that we teach we should never pray "if it be thy will". That only applies to the prayer of petition. You can't exercise biblical faith for something without knowing God's will revealed through God's Word about the matter.

True, I heard Kenneth Copeland say that once...but not just for 'shock value' per se...to break their armor of religiosity...so many hear the familiar terms but hold very different understandings so from time to time he did use that to try to break through or as we would say today, to wake them...make them think out of the box...
