I know this is kind of a weird way to start a post, but everybody that reads this post really should study and meditate what I've said below because it is a real key to receiving from God. I'm not a novice and I've proved it in my life over and over. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. And you'll eat if you don't faint in what I'm about to say. Perseverance and endurance is the key. We HAVE to have endurance when believing God.
Sometimes we try to over-spiritualize stuff. As I heard Curry Blake say one time, 'God is mechanical'. Meaning, things can work mechanically, and, at least for me, a lot of times believing God starts out mechanically. But that then translates into 'getting into the spirit' of the matter if I'm faithful in the mechanical part. I have testimony of being 'mechanical' and that turning into one of the greatest deliverances of my life. It involved fasting, confession, worship...all done mechanically, until it wasn't, and I was supernaturally set free a week after starting, while my head was telling me I was wasting my time. But the key was I didn't listen to my head and kept going.
So sometimes we tend to over-spiritualize ourselves out of receiving from God because we think we can't be 'mechanical' with the things of God. It's basically how it's always worked for me, similar to what Smith Wigglesworth said:
"I start out in the flesh, but I wind up in the spirit." I've found that how believing God works most of the time, you start out in the flesh, but if you persevere and endure, you wind up 'in the spirit.'
Everyone should read Paul Yonggi Cho's original 'The Fourth Dimension'. It may be the best book ever written on how to receive from God from a man that knows what he's talking about, at least on that subject. I sure with I could find my original copy.

What do you think the difference is when people go mechanical on confessing the Word etc and they keep doing that practically forever and then nothing happens ? Or is that impossible, are all those "testimonies" lies ?
I went on Amazon and read the first chapter; Incubation: A Law of Faith in the look inside format.
Here is a quote I noted: God is within you. God never works independently of you that concerns your life. God is only going to work through your thinking and beliefs; so, whenever you want to receive answers from the Lord, bring out that clear-cut objective. So be very definite. Take out your notebook, write it down, see it clearly.
I ordered the new combined version volumes 1 & 2. Thanks for the reference.

If you put God First, you have Him at Last.
I confessed and believed God's word concerning healing in regards to the hepatitis C virus for years that was living in my liver (Close to 20 years). In 2012, my annual physical blood work came back and my doctor informed me that the hep c virus was no longer in my liver. I never gave up believing for my miracle, although, during the last several years before God healed me, I pretty much forgot about the hep c virus and pretty much also didn't confess the word or pray about my liver condition any longer. But God was faithful and healed me from hep c when I least expected.

Yes Colonel, I never pursued any type of treatments or medications for the liver disease. It was a total sovereign act of God's miraculous healing power. And I might add, the healing caught me completely off guard. I never expected it to happen when it did. But I did pursue medical attention for the prostate cancer I had a couple of years ago. I was going to go the same route as I did with the hep c and just believe God, but my wife convinced me to have an operation. As of today, my PSA level is perfectly normal and I am cancer free.
