I would respond that God is the same yesterday, today and forever...and we don't KNOW HIM in His vastness...
Secondly I would add that by the Spirit everything God does by His Spirit He confirms with His word...but only to those who 'have an ear to hear'. If we approach God with a question and He already knows we don't want the truth, He leaves us to answer it ourselves....
