Judging Others: Due Process and Weight of Evidence

It seems to me that the Internet has facilitated that thing that people seem to love to do: Judging others.

Why dont the admonitions of Jesus in Matt 7 seem to not matter to Christians? Why do we decide that someone is not "ok" based on the flimsiest evidence?

Case in point: Somebody once showed me a set of stills that "proved" Joyce Meyer was a Freemason. I just about busted out laughing, as these were hand positions that even I have used in public speaking over the years. The dynamics of speakers hand gestures are such that you will almost guaranteed to duplicate somebody's secret hand code.

Why cant we learn to "withhold judgment" until we are VERY sure we have thoroughly investigated, and show grace in our evaluation - the same we would want for ourselves.

    Lack of true humility.

    Obadiah 1:3
The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee...

This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
    (Ephesians 4:17-18)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...
    (Psalm 1)
