    Unusual Prayers

Has anybody out there prayed an unusual prayer? One that seemed out of the ordinary, perhaps making you question "should I be praying this way"? (and were thrilled by how God answered it).

1 - I remember my TV going on the blink. After spending an hour troubleshooting (I am a techie), I decided to lay hands on it and pray for its restoration to full operation. I then pressed the ON button and the TV was fixed!

The lesson for me was: Not to be so concerned that my prayer was improper, because it didn't have a direct answer to "where is that (laying hands on a TV) in the Bible."?
    Answer:
A - We serve a big God. The Holy Spirit will guide us in those instances that are not specifically mentioned in Scripture.
B - If in doubt, pray it out - God knows how to sort it out.

2 - I have a burden in my heart for persecuted believers. I felt like praying that the North Korean believers in prison would experience supernatural warmth, as they have bitterly cold winters. It was unusual, in the sense that I don't normally touch on such a specific prayer request, other than the more general (strengthen them, etc).

Just this week I was listening to testimony of a Korean believer who was formerly jailed. She was in bitter cold and began to pray, then a supernatural warmth came over her. She saw in her spirit that it was being powered by the prayers of believers outside the country!

The lesson for me was: Dwell more in particular prayers to get a better sensing from the Holy Spirit as to how to pray more specifically
