Thread: Sense of Smell Reveals Design

We all know only God could create our ability to smell but science backs it up

In my opinion our ability to relate at depth to music and other arts is the greatest proof of intelligent design.

I listened to Dr. Virkler this morning on healing and lesson deals with the HEART MATH studies the Spirit led me to years ago. This was part of His healing my issue with anxiety and depression. But I see now that that was just the personal application of a most powerful truth about our design.

Holy Spirit taught me that we are designed to function in harmony just as the Godhead functions in perfect harmony. And that when we achieve that state we are in harmony with HIM.

Dr. Virkler's lesson 11 just electrified me this morning as he teaches on the 5 aspects of who we are that makes up this harmony. When one considers these scriptures all over the place leap off the page...

1. Proverbs 4:23 Out of the heart flows the issues of life.
2. The fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, thankfulness, compassion are emotions that coincide with the Spirit
3. Systemwide synchronization (note...stress if anything that breaks that harmony James calls it being doubleminded..when our mental assent and even our willful actions are not harmonized with emotions. Forgiveness for example...I can, as an act of my will choose to forgive and even say I forgive but until the emotional connection takes place their is 'stress' or lack of synchronization...I believe we OFTEN stop short of perfect peace, perfect healing and 100 % Spirit control)
4. Am I living in the moment or dwelling on past or striving for the future...............
5. Am I releasing LIFE to others or thinking about my self. Am I really living as a living sacrifice or out of self?

We are very complex beings by design and so much of scriptural and spiritual truth are misunderstood or so much of the power and unity are missed because we fail to SEE these truths beyond the theological concept...

GOD abides within to reveal Himself, His heart, His mind....

This makes perfect sense....how often have smells triggered emotional responses...I remember Bob Jones saying one time that demons smell like 'poo'. And we know from time to time some have 'smelled' God. So our smelling is not only natural, it speaks to the spirit man as well...again pointing to how intricate we are by design...and how important it is to learn how to function in TRUE synchronization with the Spirit to see and experience God in the earth....

And just to flow on...this is where and why praying in the tongues is significant to us...as we do this regularly we are connecting to the Spirit realm and blocking out all outside distractions allowing Him to do something within and without bypassing carnal interruption and mental reasoning....

Have you read or doen any study on Heart Math?

Dr Virkler says a book on the study and science of it is free on their website...I believe I read it at least in part about 20 years ago and now plan to revisit it...

No. I'm still reading Bill Johnson's revivalists book.
