    Christians Painting Nudes

What do you think of Christian artists who paint nudes
    Also
How would you counsel a Christian who was studying art and had to paint a nude as part of his studies

Nude art embarrasses me but it's part of the art world. I have no advice.

I don't have a problem with artists painting or sculpting a nude. Would you have counseled Michelangelo not to sculpt the David?

I have always wondered how Mic. got the great David to take all his clothes off.

Yes, I would have. He didn't have to sculpt him naked. Also, did he even have a likeness of David to actually make his sculpture from?

The human body was and is a beautiful thing...until Adam fell nudity was not an issue..now it is art to some and porn to others...I would advise they are creating stumbling blocks for weaker believers...sin nature tells us we should be covered and God did not say otherwise..in fact he made them clothes...

As Quest stated, the human body is a thing of beauty..... This is a sensitive area, however, ... art is NOT pornography. People need to refrain from knee-jerk reactions.

The old saying, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" has a negative application too.

Some people are just predisposed to see porn or evil in everything. The problem is within their own soul.
