It teaches that the initiative comes from God, but requires free synergy (collaboration) on the part of man: "God has freely chosen to associate man with the work of his grace. The fatherly action of God is first on his own initiative, and then follows man's free acting through his collaboration"

    I totally agree.
Which would have Martin Luther rolling in his grave. After identifying the errors of the RCC which gave rise to the Reformation and the Church continuing through Protestestism you've gone back to the RCC beliefs. No wonder churches today talk of Catholicism as if it's "christian".

Then quit referring to RCC standards concerning heresy if you wish to disassociate yourself completely from them.

I'm not, I'm referring to things that first happened 1100 years before the Reformation.

You've said where you agree with the current RCC on a couple of points. That will be enough to get Farm Truck going.

You're just repeating yourself instead of dealing with what has been discussed. That's pretty troll-like.

You keep calling things "RCC standards" when they are Church standards.

But this thread isn't about what the RCC believes, it's about the Doctrine of Original Sin, and how it's roots are not in Calvinism but go back a long ways before that, and about how the early church identified the teachings of Pelagius which included the rejection of the Doctrine of Original Sin as heresy.

And not only is it off-topic to say the RCC (which has nothing to to with this topic) says Luther and Calvin are heretics but irrelevant as it considers all of Protestantism to be heresy which would include you (REF).
