    The Doctrine of Running Water

I have some relatives on my mother's side who are Baptist

But they are in a fellowship that believes you must be baptized in running water,
    Either a creek or river

If you don't get baptized in an outdoor creek with running water, your baptism is invalid

    Anyone heard of this ?

No, are they country folks or maybe in a small town? I've always lived in the city so that wouldn't be likely here. Also, much of the running water in OK isn't deep enough for immersion.

You seem to have many relatives involved in unusual Christian activities

Outside times of persecution, the first Christians performed baptisms in public, much like John the Baptist did. That made it a form of public confession, that is probably why some passages mention believe+confess and others believe+baptized for salvation. I was baptized in a public swimming pool and there were staff present looking at us suspiciously. I liked that actually because it sort of made it real.

Let me guess, Pentecali is from a family with 10 children per generation and they keep track of several generations, meaning he has about 1,000 relatives that he keeps track of.

True, they are from the country. My mom moved to Los Angeles when she was 10, but her kin folk in the country
    Carried on with this tradition
