I would like to have a new baptism doctrine. Everyone needs to be baptised a second time and those who cause trouble we dip 3 times but only raise twice

Yes, it's from the 3rd book of baptist cults... "and thou shalt burneth in hell if thou aren't baptized in running water"

    It's all the rage.

It's quite comical that it's even being discussed as a serious subject

But they are in a fellowship that believes you must be baptized in running water,
    Either a creek or river

If you don't get baptized in an outdoor creek with running water, your baptism is invalid

    Anyone heard of this ?
I think they are silly and need to pray about this. While it's true, I would rather get baptized in cool, clear running water than in a stagnant, smiley, mosquito infested swamp, it is also true that there is no magic water.

Actually, prayer is not needed for this... all they have to do is read the New Testament and see that the instructions for water baptism does not instruct us to do it in running water so this is much ado 'bout nuthin!

Remember boys and girls... when God's Word provides clear instructions on a subject - prayer is not needed, obedience is!

Wel if fuego has not heard of it, then it never existed. He has heard of everything in the south.

If this belief involves just getting baptized in a river or creek, that is no new. Many old time Pentecostals believed that. When churches started putting into the churches, baptisteries, they thought it was a sign of modernism coming into the church.

Exactly right. I am thinking that a lot of members are far removed from a lot of old school traditions which in some sense isn't so bad.
I enjoy talking about them but a lot of people here can't relate
