Anyone familiar with Bahá'u'lláh or the Bahai beliefs?

This meme was posted on our FB page earlier today:

    One of our members replied:

Isn't this the prophet of the Baha'i religion??? .... It is .... The Bahá'í Faith was founded by Bahá'u'lláh in 19th-century Persia. ... all major religions have the same spiritual source and come from the same God....The Baha’i Faith offers its own spin on Christianity which unfortunately is not in sync with the teachings of Christ and Christianity .... The Baha’is claim that Baha’u’llah is the fulfillment of the biblical prophecies of the return of Christ. Taken literally, of course, the biblical prophecies of Christ’s return do not fit Baha’u’llah. .... Dr Walter Martin, “There is very little indeed that a true Christian can have in common with the faith of Bahai. There is simply no common ground on which to meet … The Bahai faith is at its very core anti-Christian theology.” https://christiansanswerbahai.wordpress.com/

The poster of the meme then replied:

The foolishness of God is greater than man's greatest wisdom. Personally, I strongly believe that the Bahai is definitely NOT anti christian. It is that antithesis of the disintegration of religion as prior religions have become. I have been a christian for over 30 years and love Jesus, the Bible and wisdom that God gave us through Jesus even MORE since I became Bahai...

There are more posts here, this is the link to that thread:

I'm not familiar with the Bahai, is this Christian based at all? Can you post what you know about it?

Baha'i has a center located in Hemmingway, SC. They have a strong wattage radio station that plays lots of Christian music. They are a syncretistic
religion that claims to take the good points from all religions and put them together. They talk about Jesus but mix him up with the founders of the world religions. They are a demonic false religion.

This woman made a post of a quote of Baha ulah. Many people will not recognize it for what it is. This woman claims she is a Christian but she is ignorant of the spiritual danger she is tampering with.

Thanks for input, my reply in case she deletes the thread:

Thank you Jerry, i wasn't familiar with the Baha'i but from doing a little research and talking with a few people there are definite red flags there.

Denise, there are certain 'essentials of faith' in Christianity that the Baha'i just don't line up with including the death and resurrection of Jesus, the Baha'i do not believe that He physically rose from the grave nor do they believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God...to deny His death and resurrection is to basically deny Christianity.

The fundamental principle of Bahá'u'lláh is that "religious truth is not absolute but relative, that divine revelation is a continuous and progressive process, that all the great religions of the world are divine in origin and that their basic principles are in complete harmony".

We know for a fact that all religions are not in harmony and that they never will be and since the Baha'i don't believe that any religious truth is absolute it opens the door wide for their leaders to cherry pick things they like in different faiths and mold them into their own creation of a new false deity. There are a lot of huge warning signs here as their beliefs are spiritually dangerous.

    Kay weighed in too:

Kay Sharpe Back in the mid-90's, I was a witch and had a brief moment of thinking Jesus was maybe cool. I didn't want to be a Christian, though, so I investigated Baha'i. Ordered materials, read, poured myself into it. Concluded that it was just paganism without the magick and therefore I was better off where I was. THANK GOD that a few years later, I was able to meet Jesus face to face and He changed my life forever!

Why would you ever need MORE than that? When you say above that it's just God revealing Himself in another form, building upon what Jesus did, that's not just polytheism ... It's polygamy. This is a marriage where two become one flesh. Adding to it is no different to taking on another lover and trying to bring him home into bed with you and your husband. I know that is pretty blunt but it is two in the morning and, well, it's true.

She left our FB group, these were my last posts to her:

....per numerous replies here and on your other post, Baha'i is in direct opposition to Christianity. It denies even the very foundation of Christianity which is the victorious death and resurrection of Jesus.

The Baha'i do not believe that any religious truth is absolute which opens the door wide for their 'infallible' leaders to cherry pick things that they like in different faiths and blend them into their own creation of a new false deity.

Satanism is a religion too, do you really think that God can be in harmony and union with satan? No, He came to destroy the works of the devil. There are many passages and warnings in the bible about worshipping false gods, read 2 Kings 10 about what happened to those who served Baal even a little bit or Joshua 22 which talks about building altars to foreign gods, its called an 'offensive altar' in God's eyes.

This is a Christian site and we do not mingle with or promote anything offensive or in opposition to Christian/Judeo beliefs and we pray you let the Lord open your eyes to the truth. We will let this post stand to help you with any questions you may about Baha's fasle beliefs but the admins will immediately delete any further posts of this nature.

Denise there are numerous verses about coming out from among people who worship false gods...we are to be pure light and salt.

2 Corinthians 6:14....what fellowship has light with darkness? 15 Or what harmony has Christ with Belial...

She not only left our group she also unfriended me because "we didn't show her love the love of Christ". Once again those who preach tolerance and unity the hardest are usually the first to be offended for simply disagreeing with them. Did she unfriend you too Lee?

I liked what Kay had to say. I never thought about it that way.
