I know it's messed up but I have no personal experience with this "faith" Other than I had a friend whose mother in law was involved in it. Her son had nightmares and visions of demons and they were very controlling. One time the group leader demanded she give him her television set. It definitely sounded like a cult, and the woman could not make any decisions on her own had to be "told" what to say or how to respond, and so forth. As for Other Cults I have had personal experiences with Mormons (first hand) and could tell you some amazing stories about that. The Jehovah Witnesses is another very messed up Cult as well. I had success with witnessing to woman in The JW Faith who began to cry after I told her my testimonies about the Lord and my personal experiences with him. She cried and received Jesus, broke out of the cult but the were after her so hard, she had to move away to avoid them! It also broke up her marriage as her husband became an avid JW as well. These cults are counterfeits of how The church should be. We should be there for each other, people are longing for a sense of Unity and cannot seem to find it sometimes.
When we stand before Jesus, he is not going to ask what everyone else told you to do....
He is going to ask "what did I tell you to do?" Press on!

Why is it so hard to LOVE others, accept them with all their flaws and respect their choices and life path????
It really isnt hard when you chose to do so.

I think it is very difficult for people to resist the temptation of prejudice.
Prejudice is very easy to learn and express, plus it allows a person to feel superior over another.
Prejudice allows people to create an "enemy" they must overcome.
Psychologically it can bring some people together. I hope you are able to resist this temptation.
However, if you are anywhere and you hear of an "enemy" being preached which is any group of people, be extremely cautious.
Perhaps the true enemy in this case is the one who speaks callously.

I used to work with a woman who embraced Bahai. Their beliefs are closer to Muslim (without the violence and killing, in fact, they are persecuted by Islam) than to Christianity. I'm a little perplexed by Denise.

There was an evolutionist on CARM who was Bahai back in the nineties. He talked like he was a Christian, I think he merely tuned his beliefs in that direction. The common denominator may be that they feel good enough for every belief system, meaning he could have tuned himself into Islam or even some Eastern religion.
