    Up the beanstalk again

Another look at those giants. Here is the first scripture on them, a major one.

Gen 6:1 (NKJV) Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them,
2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.
3 And the Lord said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years."
4 There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

One of the last, also a major one, is found in 1 Samuel 17.

There is no question that the conduct of the Philistine champion Goliath was anti-God and anti-Israel as was to be expected from a Philistine engaging in warfare against Israel. What I would like to know is if someone can find a mention of these giants being described or referred to (or even implied) in negative terms apart from their conduct and perhaps the fact that they didn't descend from the tribe of Israel.

If you can find more than one, then please list the scriptures.

I smell the blood of Israelite men
Our tribe are 20 foot giants and they are puny and weak
We shall crush them to powder and their lives will be bleak

Apart from the 20 foot reference which isn't found in the Bible, that fits any enemy of the Israelites, including the Cushites, the Egyptians and the Assyrians, Babylonians, Chaldeans etc. Various tribes are referred to as very tall some times. The Israelites were grasshoppers in their sight, some tribe is described as tall as cedars and strong as oaks (could be a collective reference rather than individual). But none of that is intrinsically negative or derogatory, it is only negative in the context of their being enemies. Simply being tall or strong was seen as positive, recall that Saul was a head taller than the other Israelites and fit for being a king, according to the flesh.
