That's not funny. Either it is the Word of God or it is not.

Martin Luther I believe didn't believe it should be. I think he called it hay and stubble or something like that. To him some of the stuff in it (faith without works is dead) in his mind contradicted his revelation about salvation being by faith only. Of course James wasn't referring to 'saving faith' when he wrote that. I'm sure these references to the law had something to do with it too.

There is a deed that goes naturally with saving faith. Confessing that faith with one's mouth, per Romans 10:9-10. There are deeds that go naturally with other types of faith. If one doesn't understand that there are other types of faith than faith for salvation then it is more problematic. Paul saw that the cripple in Lystra had faith to be healed and commanded him to act on that faith and do what he could not previously and he did, which made his faith for healing alive.

IMO it is to think the best about a person and not jump to conclusions with rash judgements if we don't understand what they are saying.
That is good news. I will expect that you will treat all people here, as you have spoken.

I really do mean it Brother TT. You remind me so much of my pet I call Ali. I think it is the smile.
