Thread: Nephilim and sons of God

  1. #21
The "serpent seed doctrine" literally has nothing to do with the nephilim. The SSD is a bizarre, aberrant, racist, belief system that is what white supremacists et al embrace. It's a totally separate belief system. Not sure how this was dragged into this, or if Kay has seen the two belief systems married together or whatever.

The gospel is about us all being children of the devil because of our personal sin, us all having a carnal nature stained by original sin and us all being eligible for sonship by the new birth. There is no difference, everyone who has sinned is corrupted and everyone who is born in Adam shares in the corruption of his flesh.

I will address the "angels given in marriage" thing later.

Zeke, scripture is about as plain as day. People just simply don't WANT to believe it.

Secondly, it says that "they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose." It also says that these "sons of God" came in to the daughters of men and they "bore children to them". So this evidence would say that yes, they did commit sexual immorality with them. In the Hebrew mindset the marriage wasn't official until it was consummated if I remember correctly.

If I remember what I read correctly William Branham taught the serpent seed doctrine.

Yes, it's him that's "famous" for it. But we're not talking about the SSD - or, at least I'm not.

    Me too neither!

So, if you don't believe that the "sons of God" referred to in Genesis 6 are angels, then who do you believe that the passage is talking about?

Well, Colonel brought it up and he wasn't corrected....sorry if I assumed wrong.

As I've said before, I have ALWAYS believed that watchers "mated" with women, because that is what the Word plainly states. The early Church believed this until around 500 AD. Every ancient culture speaks about the "gods that came down and mated with women". It is woven in the narrative of human history. I didn't know that Christians did NOT believe this until I started posting online. I simply never tried to "figure it out" with my natural mind.

That said, I have literally never in my entire life....EVER....heard anything about nephilim existing today. Ever. The Nephilim died off centuries ago, so I have no idea what people are talking about.

People! human beings. Those who worshiped God, versus those who'd dumped Him.

Then who do you think the "daughters of men" were?
