When someone comes to Jesus they should be water baptized and filled by Holy Spirit the very same day, if possible. The next day, if they convert after 11:50pm.

Yes, in 1976. It was a big thing for me because I came from a Lutheran church, and oh my goodness, how I stirred up things at that church. They thought I was backslidden and the pastor came to try and convince me otherwise. He was crying. Thought it was SO terribly bad. For me and my husband it led to such a blessed time.

    Yes, twice...

Once, when I was 12 years old - I understood exactly what I was doing and the importance of it all, but afterwards, I had no one to disciple me, take me to Church, live a godly life before me, etc. etc.

Needless to say, I went on to live a life of sin and shame.

In 1981, I was baptized again as a 28 year-old adult (when I got saved for real, for REAL)

It's amazing the religious strongholds on the emotions that would cause someone to think you had backslid and cry when God had really gotten hold of you.

I can't believe that no one person has gone shrieking about how terrible it is to be baptised more than once ... anyone remember that thread from the old forum? (not advocating we go there, just kind of amazed )
