"We are to “taste and see” that God is good by the wonderful things that He does for us"
But wait brudda, Aren't you using "experience" to prove scripture?"

He He VW. Good to be back. I think you know I was parroting the oft-heard "objection" against charismatic "experience" -- I know you have a good answer :)

You know I really experience 'taste and see that the Lord is good' especially when I'm in private praise and worship. I mean I can literally taste His goodness spiritually speaking. It's hard to describe. Just the Spirit moving on me and then as I read Psalms in worship, I can almost literally taste the words as they magnify God and as waves of goodness emanate through my spirit and even my flesh.
This version of Ps. 63 describes it exactly from The Message Bible. I'll give the KJV first, then The Message:
5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
The Message:
5 I eat my fill of prime rib and gravy;
I smack my lips. It's time to shout praises!
I love that because I experience that every time in private worship. :)

It's simply doing the Word... and seeing the Word produce God's blessings.
This is simple seedtime and harvest which is what Jesus said the Kingdom of God was built upon.
Surely you know the first foundational principle of God's Kingdom... right?
Do not be moved away from the simplicity that is in Christ Jesus!

That's the way it should be, the presence and fullness of God should be more satisfying than anything else. When we experience that then all idols come tumbling down before him and all we need to do is to let them stay there. Our hearts and our walks will then get in line with that. Better still when that time of intense worship becomes a fuelling station and we experience that continually, meaning our walk remains inside that fullness of fire.

Actually JD was being "tongue in cheek" here FT, but I do agree with your post.

Well, you know how it is in these last days... walking with the Lord is not needed according to some to be saved.
It's quickly getting to the point that standing by God's Word is considered to be hateful, even by many who claim to be Christians.
It's all part of the separating the goats from the sheep... the separation is well underway now.
