There is no darkness in God, so it's not possible that God would have created evil and He would not violate His own Word in James 1:13
Now, He did take responsibility for evil in the sense He is doing something about it... and some think because of this He must have created evil.
If God did create evil... then God and satan are the same guy and if that was true we should all go get drunk cause this is all a farce!

God did not create rebellion against Himself.
Anything that is not of God is evil.
Lucifer was the the one who first conceived evil - within his own heart
Isaiah 14:12-15
(12) How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
(13) For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
(14) I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
(15) Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
Ezekiel 28:14-19
(14) Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
(15) Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
(16) By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
(17) Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
(18) Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
(19) All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.
John 8:44
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
(Ephesians 4:17-18)
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...
(Psalm 1)
Yes, it's always best to consider what God says about Himself on this subject.
I cannot imagine anyone other than satan claiming God created evil... and silly people believing his lies
Exactly... some folks think God is schizophrenicGod did not create rebellion against Himself.
This is so simple... you got attend seminary, go to bible school, or idolize TV preachers to misunderstand this!

I'll write it again GIMJ, "All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being"
This scripture says "all things" ... and "nothing" the opposite to ...
You say but based on the above scripture how is something "not of God" possible?
One of all those "things" that God created was a being named Lucifer, with the ability to choose to rebel against God.
Try to read the passages I posted again and tell me who authored rebellion against God, via pride (unless you think that pride also comes from God)
Satan is the Author of sin, not God.
Again, the words of our Lord...
John 8:44
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
