Yeah, I know. What is starting to get to me is that the Black Calvinist/cessationist pastors are the CONSERVATIVES and I fully agree with their politics while strongly disagreeing (even abhorring) their doctrine. On the other hand, many of the Black (and White) so-called Word-Faith/Charismatic pastors are losing their friggin' minds lately. Many of them are supporting evil candidates and politics and embracing false doctrines.
A very close pastor friend here in Rhode Island was disheartened to find that a Pentecostal pastor here encouraged his congregation and other pastors to vote and support a democrat candidate who is openly gay. Just blows my mind.

The numbers of "The Undiscerning" are increasing at an alarming rate. The Delusion is truly being released upon the earth.

I hear you bro. "Alarming" is definitely the way to describe it. I am perplexed at how easily "Word" people have been duped.

Probably because most Black Calvinist/Cessationist pastors don't have black audiences to begin with .
OTOH MOST Word-Faith/Charismatic pastors have predominantly black congregations so its difficult for them to swim against the tide so to speak so they compromise.

They may know the Word but they don't know History/Culture so they are easily duped into false historical and cultural narratives .
Most black folks for instance believe that Whites simply came to Africa to steal slaves while in truth white slave merchants met established Slave Markets controlled by African Monarchs and Elites.
The white slave merchants Themselves rarely ventured off the ships into the hinterlands ..
Its much easier to convince people they are victims when true history isn't told I guess

I know Voddie is a cessationist but he is solid when it comes to defence of the faith and christian values.

When I gave her Ephesians 4:11 and 1 Corinthians 12:28, she responded "we'll just have to agree to disagree." She'd rather believe Baucham than the Word of God. SMH
She went on to say he's "discovered" research that confirms his beliefs that there are no apostles or prophets and they died with the last apostle of Christ. I really don't get Christians taking the word of man over the Bible. I guess they just don't believe God is the Author.
And that's the tragedy. These don't want the Gifts to be for today. Silly question...does the man and his church really need more proof than what they have believed all along? Truth is, they know it's not supported by scripture.
