I heard Dr. Brown speak on this topic in person. It was the best presentation I've ever heard on homosexuality from a biblical point of view.

Yes, to cover their shamefulness during that time when God allows repentance. Each time they try to cover they actually cover their heart/concience until it becomes seared, given over by God to a reprobate mind.

When I heard T.D. Jakes talk about this subject of homosexuality, he inferred that it is possible that David and Jonathon as well as Ruth and Naomi could be thought of to have same sex attraction. I was flabbergasted.
I had heard that Jakes was leaning toward accepting homosexuality as a normal, acceptable lifestyle, but it wasn't until I heard him with my own ears, that he appeared to be condoning it.
I am saddened because he has so much influence. It seems the more he became involved with the entertainment world, he has gone the way of Oprah and others that once believed the word of God concerning this abominable lifestyle.

Mark my words... Just a matter of time before he "comes out of the closet"

I keep hearing that he's gay from so many, it's actually scary. In the early years of his ministry, I'd listen to him on occasion, and enjoyed his books. But as I grew spiritually and gained more revelation knowledge scripturally, I knew he was off on some things, and, I didn't appreciate how he criticized Faith teachers like brother Hagin, so I quit listening to his sermons.
He spoke at our Church Word of Faith in Michigan once, the next Sunday, bishop Butler faced the congregation and related that he needed to correct some doctrinal errors Jakes spoke on in the meeting.
He was never invited back. That's never happened (not inviting a speaker a second time) that I can remember at WOF, and I'd been there 20 years before moving to OK.

Having said that, and I'm not disputing anything you're saying, he preached one of the best sermons I've ever heard at Rod Parsley's campmeeting on Praise one year. I've searched for it before but can't find it.

Yes, I've heard him preach some good sermons as well, but it's been years, back in the 90's. Since he began associating with Hollywood types, he's been compromised, and preaching a different Gospel now.
