When you teach 'you are being judged/satan is allowed to rob you' then it is bad teaching

Every tither needs to honestly search their heart and ask - have I tithed in the past from fear because God withholds blessings like healing, family protection, finances etc. and satan has permission to attack me. You will find that the vast majority of tithers in their heart did once believe that and probably the majority still do

There are christians who tithe religiously because they are convinced that God's blessings depend on tithing yet they do ungodly and unchristian things to others - they are deceived that
tithing somehow covers all the other rotten carnal stuff they do
Of course if the 1-2% of tithers have only ever tithed out of pure joy and godly obedience then they are unique
    Legalism goes both ways.

Utilizing OT scriptures to put people into bondage is one form of it but another form of legalism is refusal to accept something as valid because there is no corresponding "thou shalt or thou shalt not"

The Pharisees were guilty of both hence the reason they could not recognize the messiah

I watched the video again and fuego is correct . It does seem that at least on the surface CD has moved fully into the proportional giving camp

I say more power to him but a few things I see of concern . One of which is is his downplaying the significance of Abraham's tithe . Furthermore he claims "We" took the tithe and made it part Of the law. I say "We" did not do do that God did that . .

All in all I feel he spent an inordinate amount of time knocking down strawmen while not really making any scripturally legitimate case against nt tithing other than the fact that some have preached it legalistically. An assertion that no one here disputes.

Furthermore the case he made in favor of proportional giving contained some of the very same warning and threats that tithe proponents are accused of .

All in all I stand by all my assertions that the tithe is for today but only for the mature or the called and if you have no desire to be a tither then tithing is clearly not for you ..

Personally I desire to be a consistent tither . Haven't always been consistent with it for a variety of reasons and no I don't believe God is about to judge me for ithose times when I didn't give an exact tenth but nonetheless i believe a consistent tither walks consistently in the highest form of thanksgiving and by extension the 100 fold level of faith

So, do you buy food and drink and consume it in the appointed place then?

Thanks, BAP for a tremendous explanation of tithing. It takes maturity to understand. THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENTS.

Pentecali, I doubt if you could close it even if you did open it. At least that has been my experience.
