Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it (Malachi 3:10)
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2 Tim. 3:16)

Give...whether it's the tithe or a gift above the tithe without compulsion as UNTO the Lord..He owns it all and has given us a responsibility of stewardship for what He entrusts to us...If the Holy Spirit has led you to your local gathering then He will lead you on giving to that local church as well as whatever else He choses...the homeless man some socks, the missionary over seas, the neighbor's light bill..it's ALL His..even the part He gave us to feed and clothe and care for ourselves and families..it's all stewardship..

The bible teaches Spirit led giving for New Testament believers not tithing.

Just remember the plural of the word tithe and give the 7 tithes per 3 years that the same law prescribes. You should also remember that the following scripture was given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness :
Lev 15:19 ‘If a woman has a discharge, and the discharge from her body is blood, she shall be set apart seven days; and whoever touches her shall be unclean until evening.
20 Everything that she lies on during her impurity shall be unclean; also everything that she sits on shall be unclean.
21 Whoever touches her bed shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until evening.
22 And whoever touches anything that she sat on shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until evening
There are lots of menstruating women using all kinds of seats in public, you should beware of that from now on so that you fully obey scripture.

Ab gave a tithe to Mel. That is good enough. We are not under law we are under Grace. Going back to the Law is no argument against anything. Tithing was before the law. We tithe out of obedience to the Lord who said it is a good thing to do. Therefore I am going to do it. You can drag out all the law you want but it will have no influence on my tithing.
God blesses obedience. If you are willing and obedient, He says you'll eat the fruit of the land. He says no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly before Him. It's a simple act of obedience when we do what God asks us to, and He says, "See if I just won't open up the windows of heaven and bless you. But if you won't obey, you rob Me of the ability to bless you. That's what you're taking away from Me."

Please quote a scripture that contains a command given by God for someone to tithe prior to the law.

Tithing is done out of love for God Out of an obedient heart. When Jesus said it was a good thing to tithe, that's enough! The eternal God has spoken and when He speaks we are to listen. It wasn't just a suggestion. "The King makes no suggestions."

That doesn't answer my question.
