I don't think he is trying to "win back his brand by placing blame externally." I think his eyes have been opened to just how far off the rails the prophetic movement in America have gone, and because of how God has made him, he cannot remain silent about it.

He has a LOT more to say about his hearers than he does about himself. He should apologize and shut up.

You don't see the error he is addressing in the prophetic movement? He admits that he also fell into some of it, but the things he called out are there for all to see.

Well Zeke, if I do you wrong and am genuinely convicted I come to you in humility and ask forgiveness. I do not come to you make an apology and publish a litany of your defects.

Sounds familiar! O, I know, that's in the Bible!

I guess I look at it differently.

I quickly forgive him for any part he may have played in all this. Most of the "prophets" aren't owning it.

At the same time, I see the problems he pointed out and am glad that at least some one is addressing them and bringing them out for discussion.

It is apparent after watching all that has transpired over the last year that there are a lot of "prophets" out there instead of actual prophets.

These are the same concerns discussed in this video:

What strikes me most about all this is that the prophets apologizing for their incorrect predictions is that it's separating the wheat from the tares.

Christians uttering death threats and cussing the prophets out? It's showing their true hearts.

From JJ FB post that I posted in this thread: My Public Apology and Process

Over the last 72 hours, I have received multiple death threats and thousands upon thousands of emails from Christians saying the nastiest and most vulgar things I have ever heard toward my family and ministry. I have been labeled a coward, sellout, a traitor to the Holy Spirit, and cussed out at least 500 times. We have lost ministry partners every hour and counting.
Maybe God has had Jeremiah Johnson prophecy and recant simply to show the ones who believe they are the body of Christ just how much darkness they still harbour in their hearts. They obviously haven't made Jesus Lord of ANYTHING in their lives. And also to reveal it to the rest of the church, who are the wheat, who are the tares. Who are the Ekklesia and who are the ones who are still living a deceived life.

The separation of wheat and tares is what I keep hearing and praying about.
