My guess is that people had difficulty distinguishing what they wanted to happen from what God was promising would happen. The human brain is a complicated beast and it is easy to see how one would confuse one for the other.

It is so easy to idealize public figures who accomplish some great things, forgetting that they are merely human with all the frailties that come with being human. Lincoln, MLK, Gandhi, etc. all did great things while simultaneously being seriously flawed.

I have to agree. I mean does it look like Biden will be president in a few days? Yes. But we're talking 'alleged' word of the Lord here, prophecies. It just seems to me that they would wait until at least Biden was inaugurated. The Bible is full of impossible situations that turned supernaturally and you never would have been able to figure out how God was going to do it.

The city was totally under siege by the enemy army, and it was so bad people were eating their babies. No way in the world that could turn in the natural and no way to even see how it would be turned. But a bunch of lepers who were going to die anyway decided they'd go out and God made them sound like an army and it scared the enemy off, causing the IMPOSSIBLE prophecy to be true that all would be all right within 24 hours or however long it is.

It just 'bugs' me that they didn't wait until after the inauguration to repent of it. Fine, you got it wrong, but really make sure you got it wrong first. Like I said, something just 'bugs' me about it. And I agree JJ took a 'shot' there instead of just apologizing and moving on.

I'm going to be a little more generous then the rest of you.

I'll wait until after the inauguration, then I want their feedback.

I doubt they can recover from this one. A lot of ministries will be ruined. I can't see how or why they ALL would risk everything to put their neck on the line? Their livelihoods, reputations??

Can we say none of them heard from God?

If they missed it, get the stones ready. People are going to be angry and unforgiving. They will take vengeance out on them. If they end up right, it will be historical and they will treated like canonized saints.

I don't know what to think but I do feel something is strange. It's just a feeling. I'm not saying it's God. There's just so many bizarre things happening.

Well said...it's like their attitude is, well it looks bad so I might as well call it a day instead of using their faith and seeing what actually does happen.
