A minister that commits a one time act of adultery should still step down and get restored as there is something not right in his life. There will be some termites under the surface.
After 1 sexual sin the wife would be hurting very badly even after forgiving him. She will also need support and ministry as well as the family.
Its too hard to function and help others if you are wounded yourself. She will be on a roller coaster of emotions for a period of time which includes 'trust issues'.
They can pretend and try to bluff their way out of it (some will call it faith) but there will be problems in the marriage

Definitely but unless BH names those we don't know. Brian is big on leadership and certain things he will not tolerate
I said to my wife months ago I can see Brian and Carl having contention and splitting over certain issues.
Many struggle with Hillsong and Brian but deep down he still leans to the right whereas Carl leans to the left. I have no doubt behind the scenes there has been tension between the two.
Only my opinion but I wouldn't be surprised that Brian is relieved Carl is gone.
Do you recall this odd photo from 2015 ?
As I suggested at the time, the photographer may have tried to capture something by way of the odd angle involved. That is Carl Lentz in the background.
Does Hillsong Have Gay Worship Leaders Or Not? — Charisma News
In the charisma article Brian Houston said the engaged men had been removed from a ministry role within the church.
BH made it sound like he condones the sinful behavior between this homosexual couple.
Even though these men have been removed from the platform, BH also sounds to me (my opinion) that he is even making them feel comfortable in their sin.
"They, like us, are on a journey, and our role as a church is to assist them on this journey with grace and compassion".
BH is either unaware of what scripture says about open sin in the church, or he refuses to handle the situation in a biblical mandate.
Jesus mentions on how to deal with sin in the church (Mt 18:15-17) as well as Paul making it clear that sin must be dealt with in the church (1 Cor 5:3-5).
The apostle Paul didn't beat around the bush when it came to dealing with sin in the midst of a fellowship of believers.
Those who continue in sin, rebuke in the presence of all, so that the rest may be fearful of sinning (1 Tim 5:20).
If you put God First, you have Him at Last.
