I try to get my fingers to type as fast as I'm thinking and sometimes those phalanges can't keep up.

I, sometimes, take a cut up apples (in a baggie) or some nuts to munch.

I actually learned it years ago.. my therapist recommended it for if you get sleepy, just munch. I go through a space around 9:30ish where I get a really tired..

    it's helped.

Personally I like to have a nice big juicy steak with a salad while listening to the preacher. I try to be as quiet as possible.

Last time I went to a convention they kicked me out for eating...
My excuse was, "It's been a while since I had a barbecue"

I'm thinking all that smoke was distracting the praise and worship team.

Everybody else thought it was the glory cloud rolling in, although they couldn't figure out what the smell of brisket was all about

disclaimer - jus kidding, the fire marshal would have arrested me if I had fired up the bbq pit in their convention center!

I usually just take bottled water and I only stated doing that in the past few years since I saw others doing it and nobody said anything.

I remember back in the day they didn't allow anyone to take any drinks in and if you wore your ball cap in to the sanctuary.... one of the deacons is going to call you outside for a word and it may not be a word from the Lord!
