That being said, it's better they're there and eating than not there at all, until they learn protocols.

AND THAT being said, we have people who come into the Sunday morning service with extra large coffee and a bagel or muffin or breakfast sandwich. Personally, I don't approve, but we haven't had anyone who has made any rules against it.

I believe it's a matter of respect for those around you as well as a matter of reverence of the most high God, who I'm there to worship. I can't focus on him if I'm feeding the flesh. I'd rather go in with an empty belly than eat in the service.
    in the sanctuary during service?

Primarily because, if I run across something I don't know about... I can easily research and find people who know all about the subject and I can compare to see which expert is saying what and in a short period of time I can become pretty knowledgeable in almost anything.

If other people know something about it, I can to.
Mr Farm Truck, you don't have to argue with everyone about everything. You had some good posts last week where you were encouraging and compassionate...that posting style is much more welcome than being abrasive and cocky with folk.

No one knows everything and no one can learn every single thing...case in point, your last word in your quote I captured above should have been 'too'.

I've been taught (what I call) proper church decorum. We don't eat our meals in the place of worship

I've seen it done though. We had a simple family (when I was growing up) that would bring a picnic basket and break out with tuna sandwiches etc.
They would say they were running late and didn't want to miss out on the service. The pastor was patient because they were a little "touched" lol but they finally were ask to stop it. It became a spectacle

That's cause I type fast and sometimes I do not pay attention to the words if there is no squiggly little line under it letting me know of a misspelled word.

I have learned that "too" would be the correct word for that situation, so I'll have to pay closer attention to detail.

I'm not "arguing", just replying with an opinion and I do my best to get the infor from God's perspective as the Word provides it.
