I found out this morning that the other Pentecostal Church in our city was closed so a whole bunch of their people came to ours. :roll eyes:

The leadership talked of "Walking in Faith, and Not in Fear," but Hubby and I were disappointed that no "precautions" were taken in terms of limiting physical contact, such as hugging, hand shaking, kissing on the cheeks, laying hands on people, etc.

One sweet Sister (who always sits behind us) was coughing the entire length of the service - It was a little un-nerving, I gotta admit

A question for discussion: If we (Christians) are indeed walking by faith, and claiming Psalm 91, are we to totally ignore the "warnings" from the government to "socially distance" ourselves, avoid crowds, and stay home, unless it's absolutely necessary to venture out?
That would certainly keep us from spreading things.

LIKE THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST!

I think the devil would like that.

And further to that, I also found out that churches are no longer exempt from the 250 limit. So now our pastors are trying to determine what the next move is ... do we close now because others are taking us over limit??? sheesh.

I thought about that a few days ago, one could simply count the number of people entering then close the doors when the limit has been reached.

The city government of the capital Seoul has asked prosecutors to charge Lee Man-hee, the founder of the Shincheonji Church, and 11 others.

They are accused of hiding the names of some members as officials tried to track patients before the virus spread.

South Korea is battling the worst coronavirus outbreak outside China.

The country has reported 3,730 cases and 21 deaths so far. More than half of all infections involve members of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, a fringe Christian group.

Authorities say Shincheonji members infected one another in the southern city of Daegu last month, before fanning out around the country.

It sounds like the church is more of a cult but that might be media bias.

That is an interesting concept. Maybe that would cultivate a desire to get there early and with purpose.

We were open on Sunday. However, our pastors are following the law of the state of Michigan. As of last night (3/16) we are limited to gatherings of no more than 50. So, we will be closed on Sunday. Perhaps, if we are not on full lockdown there will be a gathering plan to have a few at the church, and others gathered in homes if they stream services via Facebook live.

That's actually not a 'law' though. A recommendation.
