I just read that Mark Galli who wrote the article against Trump is the departing editor-in-chief of CT.

Why wait until you are departing before writing the article - it looks cowardly and safe to say it now and not earlier
He loses respect to write it when he is soon leaving

Excerpt and link to full post on LFF:

How Christianity Today got it so wrong - Mario Murillo

In a piece they published in 2012, they chastised the church for doubting Barak Obama's Christianity. They even called the article "Our Evangelical in Chief."

Stating, "That the true religious identity of the world's most famous, most powerful man could remain a mystery to so many is itself a mystery. Before and especially during his presidency, Obama has been extraordinarily open on matters of faith, providing ample evidence for his repeated claim to be a devout Christian. The evidence may even suggest Obama is our evangelical-in-chief."1

The article even questioned why we would prefer the Republican candidate over Obama, since Obama's beliefs were closer to ours than Romney's.

"While there are plenty of legitimate policy reasons that evangelicals might support Governor Romney, their willingness to overlook their desire for a coreligionist candidate may also have at least something to do with the fact that 24% of them—higher than any other religious group—believe Obama is a Muslim, and even more are unaware (or unconvinced?) he's a Protestant. What if more evangelicals knew Obama largely shares their religious beliefs?"1

Then there was the article by Ed Stetzer making the case for voting for Hillary Clinton. First they promote Obama and then Hillary. The following includes the most disturbing justification for being Christian and being okay with abortion from Deborah Fikes then leader of the The World Evangelical Alliance, presented in Christianity Today...

CT editorial has got the big guns firing back

Dr. Dobson Calls on 'Christianity Today' to Name Replacement for Trump — Charisma News

Dr. James Dobson made a statement calling out Christianity Today for its pro-impeachment position. He made the statement as an individual rather than as founder of Family Talk.

"I have read a new editorial published by Christianity Today that promotes impeachment of President Donald Trump. The editors didn't tell us who should take his place in the aftermath.

Maybe the magazine would prefer a president who is passionately pro-abortion, anti-family, hostile to the military, dispassionate toward Israel, supports a socialist form of government, promotes confiscatory taxation, opposes school choice, favors men in women's sports and boys in girl's locker rooms, promotes the entire LGBTQ agenda, opposes parental rights, and distrusts evangelicals and anyone who is not politically correct.

By the way, after Christianity Today has helped vacate the Oval Office, I hope they will tell us if their candidate to replace Mr. Trump will fight for religious liberty and the Bill of Rights? Give your readers a little more clarity on why President Trump should be turned out of office after being duly elected by 63 million voters? Is it really because he made a phone call that displeased you? There must be more to your argument than that.

While Christianity Today is making its case for impeachment, I hope the editors will now tell us who they support for president among the Democrat field. That should tell us the rest of the story.

that's pretty much what I've decided to start saying.. I may not *love* Trump, but the platform is light years ahead of the dems.
    I'll vote platform.

I stopped reading "Christianity Today" way back in the 80s when I simply never renewed my subscription. I kept my Charisma subscription longer than that but I eventually let that one die out as well. However, I would at least buy a copy of Charisma from a local Christian bookstore occasionally while I never felt drawn to CT anymore. I think it could have been more because of it's less "Spirit-filled" feel. But now that I see it has gone full-blown liberal I guess they'll begin denying the deity of Christ next.

Furthermore, so glad that many African-Americans are becoming more like myself. They have stopped believing the hype, are leaving massa's plantation, and are supporting government policies that will make a difference in our neighborhoods.

Yes! But better late than never!

People seem to be forgetting that if Trump is impeached and removed, we don't get Joe or Bernie or Liz, we get the current VP Mike Pence. In other words, no change in policies and continued appointment of conservative judges.

What is the problem, in your opinion, with the appointing of conservative judges ?
