Two things, fix your attachment mr admin...and since your singing keeps coming up we need a sample of it to judge for ourselves.

I'll upload that again later as well as more from that meeting (don't want to bombard ya'll with too much).

Perhaps I'll record myself singing in the shower. We all sound good there. Oh, and don't worry, it'll be AUDIO and not VIDEO. Don't want to make anyone throw up

Funny thing is the 6 year old daughter of a guest preacher we had two weeks ago told me that she loved my singing. Beauty is in the ear of the listener

BTW, just so ya'll know, this was back in 2010. I have not allowed anymore of these types of meeting after this. This one was just to show the people how everyone complains but if I did what one group wanted me to do then another group would get mad. And basically, many of the complaints were IDIOTIC. Even as I went through that slideshow this morning I had to remind myself that it is a good thing that I am doing this because Jesus called me and not man.

I think there is a tendency to expect to be "entertained" by the sermon, and when expectations aren't met, you hear critiques such as "he wasn't lively", "he read from notes", "his body movements were awkward". Kind of sad. A pastor should neither be an entertainer nor a slick salesman.

What they failed to understand was that I was NOT letting them participate because they were not coming on time. People seem to want things done in reverse. Oh well.

    More to come

As far as "teaching them the same thing" I told them that when they start living what they heard then we would move on to other subjects. I remember one of the members complaining to me personally saying, "Why do you keeping preaching the same stuff?" I asked her "Are you living what I taught?" She replied (sheepishly), "No." I told her then you will keep hearing it until you start living it.

I have also told the people that if they don't like hearing the same person preaching (after all, I am the pastor) then find another church. Also, I told them at that time that it was difficult to have too many guest speakers when the very people who complained had such sporadic attendance that I wasn't sure if they would show up on the Sunday when the guest speaker came.

Of course we have had plenty of guest speakers but I was trying to drive home a point.

Many more slides with lost of fun stuff. If ya'll are interested I will show you more.
