California pastor commits suicide
We had a mutual friend. This pastor was from the LA area.
Pretty shocking. I think pastors are under more attack, burnout, and more depression then they care to admit

It's a good thing that there are more of us and the same number of him, compared to the time of the early Church.

One more evidence of why churches need to be led by a team of elders, not a one-man show. It's too much for one person. It makes it easy for people to avoid responsibility by saying, "It's the pastor's job."

Yes. 50 years without a pastor or any paid staff. There ARE disadvantages, but overall I like it.
