Do we expect to not have the same pressures as men when we step forward? No. But men also need to give up all that "weaker sex" nonsense and let women do what God has called them to do.
AJ ...I do get what you are saying and you are right that many men have abused scripture but in certain circles it is becoming dangerous with the elevation of women minsters.
There are some women that should not be given pulpit ministry and teach and preach.
Women overall are better in languages than men and can speak better but it should not translate to positions of authority and public preaching without a real call of God.
We have to ask ...what is ministry. Unfortunately many Christian woman are falling into the same trap as men - lusting after power and authority
I met wonderful female missionaries in Turkey all serving God yet without lusting and demanding more power. This is mostly a western mindset of 'I want what I want'
Even the male christian pastors in Turkey cannot demand too much from Islamic govt yet God is with them.
The greatest opposition to true ministry is not in western nations...I would like to tell all the men and women complaining that their gift is not recognised to go serve in the middle east and we will see if you really have a gift
I shared a vision I had in Turkey to a female missionary and on the sunday service the pastor called me out and wanted me to share. I had not met him
God made a way for me to share without promoting myself. I found out later the female missionary told him so she had some sort of authority for the pastor to respect her.
This female missionary without all the titles is doing more for God that alot of woman wanting a pulpit and preaching

Boy, do we need revival in the church. Lord, please!
Yes, revival indeed...And less girly men.

No one is saying that things can't or won't go wrong with women in leadership, but for every point you gave in your post, I can counter with a similar story of male pastors... In fact, 3 years ago, we hired a pastor who exploded our church. It's still there and we're rebuilding, but we went from 8-900 congregation on any given Sunday to less than 200. He was fired, but went on to open a church in our city. Not cool.
But things don't go wrong because a woman is in leadership, they go wrong because the motives of their heart are wrong. Male OR Female.
You are 100% right many things have gone wrong with foolish male pastors and they need to be rebuked
But this is where we must get back to scripture. The primary authority leadership roles in scripture is male regardless of what the western mindset thinks or what secular govt is trying to implement
The church should not copy the world and say all roles must now be 50/50 male and female
The church should not make a woman a pastor just because she did Bible College and she can speak well. There are many roles a gifted female can do in the church as far as ministry
Women can heal, cast out demons, give prophecies, give exhortations and bring the word. They can lead teams of people at one church a female I knew lead the evangelism team.
My concern is the switch I am seeing where there is no longer any differences between men and women in the church and women can and should do everything men leaders do.
I still strongly believe that all women should be released to minister but only a few may be called to and ordained to positions of governmental authority.
I am against the AUTOMATIC ordination of all pastors wives to female pastor as this has become a liability and caused problems

BOTH men and women can lust after and demand more power. It's a human thing that the Lord has to route out of us when we submit to Him. AGAIN, THAT is the biggest problem in the church, period. Men and women with agendas that are not in line with God's will and Holy Spirit.
The point of this whole thing is that MEN have told women they are not fit for leadership. For hundreds of years. Kept them out of their God-given callings.

You do know that only a very very very tiny minority of men were in power and abused their position and also kept the majority of men out of their God given roles. The majority were working hard to provide for their families and were not demanding recognition and power. They just wanted to provide a better living for themselves and families
We have to be careful that we don't take on the cause of the modern western woman and try to usurp every position. As I previously stated some of the teaching by christian women is reflecting feminist agenda and using biblical sounding words doesn't make it right.
When you use the term men you also have to take into account that majority of men were doing their roles just like the majority of women.
Christian women have to start discerning what is really God and what are subtle demonic voices deceiving the church under the guise of equality
God never gave the ability for men to have children ..yet science is finding a way to change that as it fits in with feminist propaganda
God created men and woman to be different and that includes our physical, mental and spiritual make up

I don't want to lose the fact that many woman have been abused by leaders and worse when it's from the church. These women need support, comfort and justice. Their voices need to be heard
My wife will tell you when on TV I see men abusing and hurting women I react quite strongly and would like to see harsh punishments to those men.
In reality I have found myself repenting what I would like to see done to some of those men
Also I want to make it clear that my comments about women in leadership are not connected to any justification for ANY abuse against a female.
There is no excuse for abuse

I don’t think you realize what this sounds like to a woman.
Like men don't have to as well???

I have made vastly more similar type comments regarding male leaders and men in the church but no one bats a eyelid
Actually I need to make more tough female comments to catch up with the mostly tough male comments because currently the women are winning
BTW I enjoyed reading your stories how God anointed you to minister in deliverance and see God do great things.
See I do believe God anoints and uses women in ministry
Do you still make cupcakes?

SIDEBAR: I have noted that Joyce Meyers has set a good example of reaching out to her as fellow ministers, inviting her to her TV program. It seems to have driven the Inquisitors crazy, ready to burn Beth Moore at the stake as well, for daring to appear with her.

Is this in regard to the current situation or related to something else
