I just want a worship leader who is sensitive to Holy Spirit and will lead us into the Holy place, the Lord's presence, the throne room.

I don't like darkened sanctuaries, music so loud you can't hear the person next to you sing, or grand standing.

Let's just worship the Lord together.

Uh, sometimes, I’d rather not hear the person next to me sing.
When your praise match your prayers, the answer will come.

    That's true.

Sometimes they sound like a tom cat in the middle of the night.

Sometimes they think they sound so good they sing much too loud.

And sometimes, it's just nice to hear alllll the voices.

I've been on my church's worship team for a few months now, and I LOVE it. We don't entertain, no showboatin', none of that. It's been challenging at times, but a good kind of challenging.

I detest the dress of a lot of the worship teams that I have seen. I have seen some dress in such tight blue jeans with 5 inch heels. The jeans looked like they had been painted on instead of put on. I don't think this glorifies God at all. It brings attention to the individual instead of Jesus. And being loud doesn't mean it is anointed.
A lot of the musicians look like pictures I have seen of rock stars (and no I do NOT listen to rock music) but I see advertisements on TV. They look like the world.
We have a church in our area who encourages his people to drink beer. He also called his wife a biker B from the pulpit. Preachers are responsible to God for what they teach their people and will have to give an account to God one day.

Come on and preach girl! We came up in similar backgrounds so I understand where you’re coming from. I visited a church in the Los Angeles area a few years ago (very popular TBN preacher) and I walked out after 20 min. The girls were up singing in skin tight hot pink pants & tanks. One guy had long dreadlocks and he was leaping up with his guitar shaking his dreads everywhere. The place was as dark as a nightclub with patterned lights flashing and changing on every wall ceiling. This was their regular Sunday morning service. My heart was grieved.
I love vocal excellence and good musicianship. But Just give me simplicity & humility. I don’t need a Hollywood lightshow or a rock concert. I want the real glory of God.
