The Bible talks about anointing people with oil and then praying for healing. As an example. That doesn't mean that the oil has healing properties in and of itself. At best it means that there is an interaction between the act of anointing with oil and the power of God and the psyche of the human being. The oil has no intrinsic powers of healing. I don't know about frequencies.

Yes, that is why the title of the thread is "New Age Creeping into the Church?". Apparently there is a pretty widespread belief in frequencies, shakings and vibrations as spiritual tools for breaking down walls, defeating armies, etc. It is in fact new age dogma.

Now, if these things actually have some therapeutic value they should simply be called "medicine".

I have no idea if there is any merit to it. But if there is no spiritual component involved, whether demonic or of God, then the frequencies would necessarily work the same way irrespective of who is employing them and irrespective of whom they are directed at.

Correct, if listening to the C note at 945 mhz cured cancer it would be a medicine or treatment, nothing inherently spiritual about it.

Sometimes when my husband and I lead pre-service prayer, I'll literally pray, "Lord, we claim that when the worship leaders lead worship, that their instruments and voices will vibrate at a frequency that causes healing, deliverance, signs, wonders, and miracles to manifest". I literally pray that, and everyone shouts, "Amen!" I also pray for people sometimes (when lead, not all the time) that their cells will vibrate at the right frequency. Now thing is this. I've known for years that certain cancers are treated with sound frequencies. Literally. Well, if modern medicine does it successfully, then the Lord can do it, too. It's like our asst pastor said when promoting our Burn Service last Friday, and worship in general (Burn service is 6 hours long), and the Tabernacle of David. It wasn't just a "good idea" for David to establish the Tabernacle. David conquered every enemy for 33 years and there was prosperity in the land. The worship that went 24/7 was releasing frequencies through those instruments and through those priests that caused enemies to fall in the natural and spirit world.

Again....this is because I have the knowledge and understanding.....not because I'm new age, that I pray the way I pray.

The inventor of the synthesizer, David Van Koevering, is a very strong Christian and has been teaching on this for a decade, but has had this understanding for decades.
It's like Satan talking to Eve...a little truth with a little bit of lies...but I think you are addressing the world learning how to operate and use certain spiritual laws God established?

Not so sure pharmaceuticals are from God..:) And now, Aspirin itself was not part of God's creation...it is man learning how to use certain things in creation..

A frequency produced by a physical instrument is a physical thing, it is not a spiritual thing.

Why? God created frequencies and if they have a healing property it's because He made them so...not some odd after affect that surprised Him ..'Oh wow! I didn't know that note would do that...'

GOD did not create aspirin..nor Morphine...He only created the substances manipulated together to cause their affect..

But there are things like Aloe that have healing properties and I am sure He is good with us using them and that they are not 'new age' although some do equate natural remedies with witchcraft. :)

OK, willow bark, sorry. It does the same thing as aspirin. Should we incorporate that into worship, the bark?

It would still not be any more inherently spiritual than aspirin that is composed of physical components that God created.
